Are These New Sequences of the Human Genome Really Junk?

Dr. Miga says the new sequences represent regions of our genome that are known to be important for fundamental cellular processes. In total, we're talking about 200 million bases, so it's a lot. Could you make a whole new genome out of that kind of material? Well, I think when we talk about a chromosome's worth, 200 million bases is about the size of one of our largest chromosomes.
