What's the Difference Between a Percept and a Concept?
Alcas: Can we have certain knowledge of our own experience, of our awareness? And do we need to talk about two different kinds of knowing? The idea accurate representation of objective representation is dualistic in the sense of positing a hard and fast distinction between the mind and the world. But it does still hold up and refy a distinction between ideas in the world such that you can have perfectly objective, accurate representations that stand apart from the world and mirror it. That's also a cartesian idea that i think is false. You may not be able to know an object or share its form with the world at all - so why take this view rather than one based on descartes
