The Importance of Theory of Mind

If we truly want to achieve some theory of mind that's comparable to what we think we see in adult humans, is that going to require a new theory or just application of the current theories? I don't know. As you point out, people are going to pursue lots of avenues in exploring AI. One will be language models. Maybe there's some other paths we don't even know about yet.
