Could we do the same thing for jazz? Even though potentially the jazz musicians themselves don't even know it's coming. Because these are unplanned. So there's a real potential that at the level of the entire system made up by the players, their instruments, their relationships to each other, maybe even the audience playing some role there at the level that entire system. Can we predict that it's losing resilience, it's becoming unstable and might tip over into a new sound before it happens?"
