The Role of Fake Electors in Presidential Elections

The evidence clearly suggests that President Trump conspired with others to submit slates of fake electors to Congress and the National Archives. For every presidential election, there are 538 electors who cast the actual votes for President and Vice President. The group of electors representing the winning candidates party in each state meet a few weeks after the election to sign a certificate declaring the winner of that state. In this case in 2020, we were voting for slates of electors for either Democratic Party nominee Joe Biden or Republican Party nominee Donald Trump.
