What Is the Prototypical Relative Value Style of Trading?
SIG traders are trained in a relative value style of trading, says John Defterios. A trader would look for any kinks to fit the market and then find out why it was there, he says. He'd buy that month, sell the vol around it, and then wait until it gets fixed by someone else who can't see what's going on.
