How to Pivot Strategically in an Organization

I always find it very impressive when founders of large companies are able to change direction like Ola for example, right to go from ride hailing to electric vehicles as a strategic capital deployment move. I think balls down to sort of a team which is fairly aligned across at least the top 50-100 people on the need to be need to pivot and why of it they are very clear the why of it. In public business it's kind of easier because you always have cash balances to kind of move and invest and pilot but for a startup to do it even a startup that's worth 5 billion dollars or 10 billion.
