The young woman you spoke to got an abortion in february, some months before texas enacted the s b eight law. That law is a near ban on abortions after six weeks. As these clinics shut down under these regulations, it gets harder and harder to get an appointment at the ones that remain. So clinics in texas are sending people out of state, which is enormously difficult if you are of a certain income level or can't arrange child care.
