Introduction

A good martial artist does not become tense, but ready. A D-load is an ability for you to reduce the total percentage of load or volume depending on what you're aiming for in terms of recovery. It's a sports science thing, probably was developed by the Russians because a lot of our best sports science comes from there. The classic mistake I see is even at the top level, guys rolling really hard up until only like a couple of days before comp and then just back it off a bit.
