A lot of what the term platform engineering is actually based out of is this book called Team Typologies. Claus was describing it where he was building a service with customers and collaborating with them to take work off their plate. I think it's exactly what I'd love to see happening. It should be that way, but it's not. To use KISS example with SAP, you can't go into an OT environment and get any sort of buy-in with the IT environment. That's unfortunately where the disconnect and infighting comes to bear.
