Social anxiety is basically a signal from your brain that your brain perceives danger. When you're about to approach a girl or when you have social anxiety in a situation, your brain is reading that based on previous experiences. Now those beliefs, I'm not good enough. People are mean and out to get me. People don't want me. You know, women don't like me. Those symptoms are actually the activation of that fight, flight, freeze response.
Sebastiaan van der Schrier is the host of the "Social Anxiety Solutions" podcast. And on this episode, he's going to talk about an unusual technique called "tapping" which you can use to disassociate from the negative emotions you may have with painful experiences from your past.
