The Importance of Being a Musician
When he was about 9 or 10 his grandmother gave him a portable tape recorder. He would go up and down the street with a little microphone to interview people. The tapes would start to sort of peel off as he went over stuff, but it wasn't until he broke his leg when he was 13 that an obsession took hold. His life changed forever after being put in hospital for knee surgery at age 14.
