The Legacy of the Swiss Linguist Ferdinand De Sossaia

In the Wittgensteinian tradition, and certainly after Kaval, we have to be honest and say, it's not language that fails us. We are the speakers, and we can fail to say what we should be saying. In a lot of French theorists, they build on Sossu's idea of language as a closed system. That is in striking contrast to Wittgenstein-Kaval's view, which is if language is used, it's an open-ended series of practices in time and space that you could never theorize.
