Domingo Herman became the first pitcher on record to make 65 consecutive starts without a triple digit pitch count. The confluence of a pitcher who has been suspended for domestic violence and for foreign substance use going against a team that is tanking its way out of town sullies, I suppose, how impressive the perfect game is. But it does also reinforce the idea that these things are just so random and unpredictable because Domingo Herman threw a perfect game.
