ACE Inhibitors and ARBs in CKD Patients?
Late stage kidney disease patients are very likely to need at least three anti-hypertensive medications. And when people start shying away from ACE inhibitors and ARBs, we start breaking away from the information we have defending using first line anti-Hypertensive agents. So yeah, so what we see as clinicians is we see patients coming in through the front door,. they've got a key in injury, they're very sick, they're hypocalemic, they're on ACE inhibitors. We've become very wary about using them in this high risk population.
