The Ignorance Is on the Members of Jewish Communities That Haven't Thought About It Yet.
The ignorance is on the people who are running jewish organizations that haven't thought about this. Is disgraceful. I believe that we relate to rituals that have disappeared from judaism in a certain set of ways, and we relate to Rituals that are still around like an unbroken chain. The analogy i would bring is the the supreme corridor, the the justest distinction between strict scrutiny and rational basis.
