When i'm hungry, i had eating disorders for most of my life. So if i am hungry at six o'clock, i eat. If i need to get up and get a snack before at bed, i'd do it without any hesitation. It's always better for me to start a story in my head. As soon as i say to my brain the title, that means all this chitter chatter, nonsense going on in the background of my brain needs toushit because we're about to watch the show.
How often do you have a hard time falling asleep? For me, it's almost every day, until I found this podcast, Nothing Much Happens, which helps people fall asleep by telling soothing stories.
So naturally, I invited Kathryn Nicolai, the creator of Nothing Much Happens Podcast, and the writer of the book with the same name, on to talk about the podcast's origin story, what inspired her to start the podcast, her approach to writing the stories, and also the neuroscience behind sleep!
