The Role of Movement in Balancing Blood Sugar

Every cell in your body likes using glucose for energy. Your muscle cells are the same so every time a muscle contracts. We use glucose for energy, and we can use this to our advantage. So after meal, if you use your muscles for 10 minutes, it can be anything from walking to cleaning your apartment or doing dishes. Some of the glucose from that meal will go in priority to those muscles to fuel the contraction happening. And as a result you're reducing the spike of the meal because some of the glucose is going to be used by the muscles instead of sticking around and doing that big spike.
