I loved that book. I think I read it twice when I was a teenager, which I don't usually reread things. It is about a woman who is struggling with weight in a very, very human way. But to me, knowing that it was written by a man made me believe that there were men that understood because at that age, you're getting looked at for the first time as you walk down the street,. checked out and you have no idea how to digest that.
