The French love of protest, I don't say that to try and be facile. Frankly I wish we could copy them a bit. The most hilarious thing about these protests that are in raising the state pension age from 60 to 64 is we're about to have ours raised to 68. They may not do it because comically life expectancy has now dropped so there might not be any money in it anywhere - which is how completely ridiculous we are as a country. Young people have been fisted in every imaginable way for years and this idea that the one sacred thing I the French Social Security net is also about to be unpicked they're saying absolutely no.
