We Don't Need to Orgasm, Right?

We don't really know how to manage discomfort, so we disengage. When we start numbing one sensation and we start blocking from feeling something that doesn't feel good or that makes us feel awkward or uncomfortable, then we also block desire. We have to be able to tolerate a variety of sensations in our bodies which can feed into and offer each other. That's not necessarily an easy feat, but I think people who are able to practice being with mind, body and heart in the presence of arousal, erotic arousal, that's really a practice. And that's not a practice that many of us are even taught is an option.
