Democrats on the federal energy regulatory commission are signalling that they want the agency to take environmental justice more seriously. The three democratic commissioners questioned if verk had done a good enough job examining the environmental justice impacts of a massachusetts compressor station. There has long been kind of a sense of mistrust between environmental justice communities and environmentalists. And firk environmentalists have accused the commission of rubber stamping gas projects regardless of their impact on communities. But could it help the agency gain trust from environmentalist groups?
