The idea that if Ukraine becomes a successful European country and Russians are going to turn around and sort of turn on their leadership is a real big fear, isn't it? And that's kind of why they had to do this sooner rather than later. Putin's popularity was falling before this. Everything was kind of stagnant. The country's economy was already stagnating in poor. So they needed this entire paradigm shift domestically to really set a new normal.
