The Inherently Problematic Character of Sexuality
Sex is obviously not only a negativity of language, its failure and so on, but it also exists as this kind of substance of enjoyment that irreducibly pertains to it. I think if we separate the two, this negativity and this productivity, we lose the way of actually tackling with the source of this kind of systemic violence. So in other terms, and perhaps paradoxically, it is usually the satisfaction rather than dissatisfaction or disappointment that tends to repeat this systemic violence and requires it. And for a subject, this can be deeply disturbing.
