Classical Education, Not Scholarship, Is Fit to Serve More People

Classical education aims at larger numbers. It's fit to serve more people. Some of those blessed with the benefits of an early classical training may be well suited to the scholarly life, even if they do not opt for it. None the less, they will have been transformed by that training. If classical study is to survive, to guide our intellectual life, we must reassert its cultural sn and value. Classics must make a difference, not just in the way we think, but in the how we live.
