"I did not check the phase issue that could have resulted in using two separate microphones, essentially, recording the top and bottom snares summed in this way. I did get sound and I did make it work so you can be the judge as to whether it's a useful signal," he says. "That was an untreated source. Now I found a very in depth and convoluted chain to sort of bring signals back from the headphone world into a world that I might want to throw into production."
