The Pan-Maudite: A Novel About Narrative and Slipperiness

I wanted to explore the idea of never really having a handle on the truth and how subjective that can be. The real story that it's based on very, very loosely is an event that has never been solved. In France they call it Le Pan-Maudite, which does translate literally to a cursed bread. And just the idea of this town that had suffered such a catastrophe so soon after the catastrophe of World War II as well took hold of my imagination.
