It's a very typical liberal account of a world before liberalism that was just constantly driven by religious conflict,. And then liberalism diffused it through a set of procedures and rights that were genuinely novel. The fact that much of this is done for example by large Silicon Valley companies run by tech oligarchs is not a matter of great importance to me because their power rests ultimately on state power. So it just seems impossible to me to create the state that you're talking about.
