Martin Amos's Review of Miss Dydian
Martin Amos wrote a review of the book. He said that Dydian doesn't seem to be someone who uses literature as a constant model or ideal. When she attempts an erudite modulation, we tend to get phrases like there would ever be world enough in time and all the ignorant armies jostling in the night. This is a nice little slide into representation in Dydian's work. And here's a really interesting thing. She is a conservative. In this book, she has an essay about feminism and women's lib where she sounds like a woman who's like commentary magazine.
