The Pedagogy of the Occupied

He wasn't popular in the United States until after 1985 when Henry Drew popularized him. His method ultimately is what he calls a pedagogy of the oppressed which is to get you to see from the standpoint of the oppressed. He creates a straw man of it called the banking model of education, where students are like empty receptacles or bank deposit boxes and I as the teacher will deposit knowledge into them.
