The Big Kid in Me

The kids absolutely adore heading up there for a few days, and there's always a palpable feeling of excitement every year in the run up to the field trip. The weather is normally pretty peachy during that time of year, but last year there were some unusually strong winds blowing through the camp. This was very disappointing, as it meant that some of the activities would be totally out of the question. You can't play disc golf when the winds can effectively blow your disc right off the entire course, and neither can you paddleboard when your board keeps getting flipped over by choppy waters.
