The Relationship Between Nike and Mark Parker
Mark Parker was hired by Nike as a designer in the mid-1970s. The company's founder, Don Bowerman, says he and Parker didn't have much of a relationship at first. But they did get along very well when it came to business issues like product development. "I consider myself pretty good businessman, but I get fired at Microsoft," said Bowerman.
