Sclerogerma Skin Changes

The skin changes in sclerogerma often precede other organ involvement. Raynods is caused by vaso spasm and reduced celation within perforal vasclature, most commonly in the hands or feet. In more advanced stages of chlorosis and atrophy, patients can develop fluxion contractions of the fingers forming a claw like deformity as well. Joint examination may reveal features of inflammatory arthritis. And up to 65 % of patients, typically in the small and medium joints of the upper and lower limbs.
