Some of the most contentious issues at this cop have centred on the need for wealthy nations to put up money for poorer ones. The rich world gave itself a full decades grace to come up with it, and we're still 20 billions short. And now it's emerged that india is saying it needs one trillion dollars by 20 30 in order to uphold its net zero commitments. Yes. i talked about being in on the negotiations about climate finance earlier,. but there is not a space for having a conversation now on delivering the hundred billion dollars goal. It really has overshadowed everything.
