Is Acceleration Also Relative?

One of the rules of special relativity is no acceleration. But when you accelerate, weird things happen to time. So that means it's not just like a perception thing. It's like time actually slow down for the space wind. In that case, it is because they've broken special relativity. Acceleration is something you can measure, even in an empty universe.
