The President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Addresses America's Mental Health Crisis
America's mayors are sounding the alarm about this country's growing mental health crisis. The issue of mental health cuts across all demographics and has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 global pandemic. According to a survey of cities conducted by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, 97% say requests for mental health services have increased over the last two years. 88% say they do not have adequate access to mental health resources. 82% have developed new initiatives to address the need for mentalhealth services.
