The Power of Humor

I didn't know comedy was a thing. Until I saw my mother suffering, dealing with my brother's death,. I knew that I could make her laugh because I had done it my whole life. A woman who came up to me and she had lost her sister and her sister had died of cancer. They spent those last months of her lives watching my show embed together. She would crawl in bed and it was almost like a death doula. But while they were doing it, they were enjoying my show. That's the thing that she will always carry with her. Every time she sees modern family, she thinks of her sister.
