Ji christina moved to oakland in 19 92, and she got a job putting together profiles of neighborhoods. She interviewed people who lived in the neighborhood for decades including during the rise of the black panther party. In two thousand two jill cristina moved into her own house in west oakland. She wanted to live near the black Panther's original headquarters and be part of that continuing legacy. The first person i contacted was erica huggins. And they were both former members of the black Panther Party.
