But it was credited to James Brown and the famous flames, not just as a group. When they started to be billed that way on stage shows, too, the rest of the band decided that enough was enough,. Bobby Bird and Johnny Terry would rejoin fairly shortly afterwards, and both would stay with Brown for many more years. He had that one hit, which was enough to get his new group gigs but everything after that flopped for three long years.
