I feel like the kind of methodology that you're putting forward in a way part of the reason why it's so works and is because it's far more challenging to think in that way. I came of age in the counter globalization movements and after 10 or 20 years of that kind of activism it just became apparent that there was lots of talk about building temporary autonomous zones but at the same time global capitalism was basically defining the landscape in which the struggle would happen. There wasn't enough attention paid to uh this the sort of definition of the landscape inwhich we were we're fighting, he says.
