Breath Work - The Science of Science
Breathing is an autonomic activity guided by our nervous system. It's a direct route to changing our nervous system state, which makes it a wonderful regulator and also making it an activator. I always want people to be careful with breath because our brains and bodies have figured out a pattern of breathing for a reason. When we are in a sympathetic survival state, our breath changes. And so we can focus on the breath and begin to bring a different breath in to help us come back to ventral.
