EDF Says It Will Bring Back 12 of Its Nuclear Reactors This Month

Germany has been running its coal plants at even higher levels than it would be doing based on the economics of gas versus coal. EDF have said they will bring back 12 of their nuclear reactors this month, another seven in October, another four in November. That will go a long way to helping with the power crisis in France and in Europe more generally. But you won't see any relief from the carbon price in emissions in the power sector between coal and gas.
