Is React Native a Good Idea?

Facebook Messenger has been rewritten to be 100% native, right? Does that give you any kind of concern or anything? Because I think their big thing was like, we have to have great performance. So there are some situations where React Native doesn't make sense. And if you have the ability to field two teams, Android and iOS, and somehow keep them synced up because that's one of the big things that Flutter and React Native both solve.
