In about 2016, we basically stopped paying attention to any of the HDL fractionation metrics. We still get labs from other doctors who might have seen our patients in the past and they're chock full of these things that I don't know what to do with them. But while you want to ask me another question, I wonder if I could use this as a springboard to continuing this complex saga of the metabolism of HDL's once they're formed and once they have cholesterol ester. Dan Rader is a Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he conducts translational research on lipoprotein metabolism and atherosclerosis with a particular focus on the function of high-density lipoproteins (HDLs).
