The 14th Amendment and the Platinum Coin

No sensible country has a debt ceiling. The 14th Amendment allows the government to mint platinum coins in any denomination they like. For reasons I don't entirely understand, there was more buzz around platinum coins last time. But for that reason and various other reasons, the coin buzz has died down a bit.
