The Importance of Performance in the Korean Church
As a kid, you had this pretty bifurcated life at school with mostly white classmates. And then away from that in the Korean church, where you did feel some sense of fullness. So when you're performing that scene 30 years later, was some part of you dropped back into those early memories? For sure. You know, I actually had attended church late into my 20s as well. Not going to church has been more of a recent thing in the last maybe decade.
