Strength Training Slash Strength and Conditioning - Is There a Definition?

strength is defined loosely as the highest amount of force that a muscle group can produce under special conditions. Maximal strength would be with a one repetition max test on something like a back squat or a deadlift, for example. Relative strength is essentially how much force you're producing per kilogram of body weight. We don't really want to see any sort of change in muscle mass but we can increase the amount of force we're developing.
