The CBI's Theory of the Killings
The Talwa's appealed the order, first at the state's high court and then at the Supreme Court. They lost both appeals and their trial began in May 2013, five years after their daughter's murder. As well as having to answer two counts of murder, they were charged with destroying evidence. The prosecutor presented the court with the CBI's theory of how the murders had unfolded. While Rajesh was still up and using the internet he heard a noise and went to investigate.
