Around 700 BC, there's a huge shift in ancient Greek attitudes towards makeup. Lipstick went from being only for sex workers and foreigners to now an elite fashion choice. Lower-class Greek women continued to avoid it. For the 1%ers, especially lipstick was suddenly cool again.
