The government's plan is kind of like a double edged sword. When choosing an electronic manufacturing service or EMS provider, a phone company typically evaluates its prior experience. This obviously casts a huge shadow on the goal of encouraging domestic manufacturers under the PLI scheme. Especially when 14 other sectors are also part of similar programs and the government plans to extend them even more.
